As Xabi Alonso walks out the gates of Anfield, Rafael Benitez replaces him with Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani. Real Madrid now reunite Alonso with former Liverpool profile Arbeloa.
After a long battle with wealthy sides Chelsea and Manchester City, Liverpool now confirm the deal with Glen Johnson. The transfer fee will be £ 17.5 million, which both City and Chelsea also were willing to offer for the defender. All up to Johnson, the defender decided Liverpool was the best alternative.
Liverpool’s latest investment is the 16 year old Aaron King. The striker will join the Reds from non league club Rushden & Diamonds after an evident successful trial. He will join Liverpool for a two year scholarship on 6th of July this summer for an unknown fee. King is the third player to make a move from Rushden & Diamonds to a Premiership side.
Liverpool are set to sign the highly rated Jesus Fernandez Saez. The Spaniard currently plays for Cadiz, and a transfer to Anfield is believed to be announced next week.
According to BBC, Glen Johnson is just steps away from signing a contract with Liverpool. The defender proved his ability last season, and has also attracted the interest of Chelsea and Manchester City. However, Benitez has claimed his confidence in making Johnson his first summer signing.
