Ryan Babel to leave Liverpool?

As Rafa Benitez is eager to get some quality new players to Anfield this summer, he will also have to sacrifice some of his more profiled players in order to finance the new deals. The first to leave, could very well be winger Ryan Babel. The Dutchman is said to be free to talk to other clubs about a potential 11 million move. *EDIT* Latest news: The transfer could now be worth as little as £ 8 million, as Liverpool realise they will lose money on Babel. It cost Liverpool £ 10 million to sign him from Ajax in 2007.

After having been denied the promise of more chances in the starting line-up next season, Babel could be on his way out. Tottenham, Arsenal and Aston Villa have all shown interest in the player.

Babel was bought in July 2007 from the Dutch side Ajax for approximately the same amount as he now could be leaving Liverpool for. Aston Villa are said to still be demanding £ 10 million for midfielder Gareth Barry who has been wanted for a long time at Anfield. This could prove to be a chance to finally land Barry to Liverpool, perhaps in some sort of an exchange for Babel?
